After I Have Listened
to the Songstress
After I have listened to
the songstress
I tore apart of myself
and I leaned my temple
onto the timid shoulder, woman
like,
of the hour.
What a beautiful procession
of elephants
carrying shaking baldachins
was passing through the tropic
of my sentiments!
Now I was seeing the lion
and his proud
crushed under the slow ongoing
of the majestic columns that
were sustaining
the cupola of the moving temple.
Now I was seeing the seconds,
how
they were born one by one
from my eyes
as from the suns heated to the
blue.
Now I shall die, I was saying
to myself,
but my longing toward you was
stronger
and I could not, I was not able
to depart from the planet.
Dupa ce am ascultat-o pe cantareata
Dupa ce am ascultat-o pe cantareata
m-am rupt de mine insumi
si mi-am pus tampla
pe umarul timid, de femeie,
al orei.
Ce frumoasa procesiune de elefanti
cu baldachine clatinatoare
trecea prin tropicul sentimentelor
mele!
Acum vedeam leul si mandria
lui
striviti sub inaintarea inceata
a majestoaselor coloane ce sprijineau
cupola miscatorului templu.
Acum vedeam secundele, cum
se nasteau una cate una
din ochii mei
ca din sorii incalziti pana
la albastru.
Acum voi muri, imi spuneam,
dar dorul de tine era mai puternic
si nu puteam, nu puteam
sa ma despart de planeta.
